Compliance Officer – Cape Town

Reports to: Head of Compliance

The Role

Be part of a fast-paced financial services environment! As Compliance Officer, you’ll support the Head of Compliance in ensuring robust frameworks, monitoring, and adherence to regulations.

You must live in CT to apply for this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

Be part of a fast-paced financial services environment! As Compliance Officer, you’ll support the Head of Compliance in ensuring robust frameworks, monitoring, and adherence to regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, maintain & enhance Compliance Risk Monitoring Plans (CRMPs)
• Ensure regulatory deadlines are met & new legislation is embedded
• Monitor compliance & adherence to rules, policies & procedures
• Act as an independent reviewer to identify risks & corrective actions
• Support development of policies, systems & training
• Liaise with regulators & manage compliance data

Qualification & Experience

• 2–5 years compliance experience in asset management / private wealth / financial services
• FSCA RE5 essential |

Knowledge & Skills

• FAIS & FICA (essential) | AML, FATCA, POPIA (adv.)
• Analytical, logical thinking & strong report writing ✍️
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• MS Office proficiency \uD83D\uDCBB
•  Research, due diligence, numeracy & financial product knowledge
• Process innovation & automation ideas

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 2–5 years compliance experience in asset management / private wealth / financial services
• FSCA RE5 essential
